The Blue Project at the Royal Hospital School

We are delighted to be performing Joni Mitchell’s album BLUE again very soon. We are particularly pleased to be invited to perform at the prestigious Royal Hospital School Music School, Holbrook, Ipswich.

The first half of the concert includes a selection of songs that set the context for Blue. The second half of the concert is a complete performance of all of the songs on the album.

Concert 8th September 2021

Catherine and Andrew will be performing their first concert together in the brave new ‘post lockdown’ world. It’s a full evening concert at the Headgate Theatre, Colchester. The programme begins with songs by John Dowland and ends with songs by Joni Mitchell. What’s the connection? Both are very personal and direct songs of love, loss, despair and hope. In between there are the sparkling songs of Rodrigo, the colourful tales of Sor and Villa-Lobos’ epic Bachianas Brasileiras No 5.

Pells Allen Duo concert

Tim Pells and Andrew Allen will be performing a lunchtime concert at Lion Walk Church in Colchester on Wednesday 27th May at 1:00.  Music by Ginastera, Lindsey Clark and Machado.

Unfortunately due to the coronavirus ‘lockdown’ this concert did not take place.  We hope to be able to perform the concert in the 2020/2021 season once the lunchtime concerts are running again.

Lion Walk Solo Concert 19th Feb 2020

Andrew performed a lunchtime concert of music by Tansman, Towner, Pernambuco and Machado at Lion Walk Church in Colchester on Wednesday 19th February.

Concert with Catherine May at Lion Walk 5th June 2019

Catherine and Andrew will be performing a concert of music by Francesco Moretti, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Franz Schubert.

The concert starts at 1:00 pm and is free.  (retiring collection for chosen charities)
